Born and raised in Sarasota County, I am a third generation Licensed Real Estate Broker residing in the Venice/ Nokomis/Englewood area. I spent a lot of my youth boating and fishing the local waterways from Tampa Bay to Boca Grande Pass searching for the famous Silver King (Tarpon). I’ve watched and been part of the amazing growth a development in Sarasota County. I did explore outside the area and drive across the country twice to live in Santa Cruz, California each time finding I would rather live in Sunny South West Florida, even though Santa Cruz is rated as one of the most beautiful places to live in the US. The giant Redwood trees grow all the way down to the Pacific Ocean in Santa Cruz. Still much of my family lives in the area and works in the Real Estate profession, making my career path an easy decision. To this day when I’m not helping people sell and buy Real Estate you can find me on the water enjoying what this area is all about, Sun, Sand and Water. Check out all the interesting info about fishing and boating on my website. Come and see me anytime for a boat ride in our local waters we just might find a Silver King.
Venice is located on Gulf of Mexico on the west coast of Florida about 75 miles south of Tampa and 20 miles south of Sarasota. The Venice area is actually made up of five communities located in Sarasota County; Venice, South Venice, Nokomis, Laurel and Osprey. The population of Venice is about 17,000, while the greater Venice area population is about 84,000.
Sarasota According to Money Magazine the Sarasota area ranks among the nation's 15 most desirable communities to live. Sarasota County enjoys a prime location on the West Coast of Florida, about 60 miles south of Tampa . The county's approximately 600 square miles stretch west from sprawling ranch land to the shores of the Gulf of Mexico and Sarasota Bay. Sarasota's 36 miles of coast line are home to the World's finest, whitest and softest sand beaches.
Englewood Located on Lemon Bay, off the coast of the Gulf of Mexico, Englewood remains one of Florida’s best-kept secrets. The community straddles Sarasota and Charlotte counties and has population of about 16,000. The community was named after Englewood, IL. Englewood is a beach community which thrives on its nature parks, cultural events, beaches, fishing, and more.
North Port Just 20 minutes from the Gulf of Mexico, North Port offers that rare combination of a relaxed country lifestyle and easy access to all the conveniences of a big city. North Port, the fifth largest city in Florida in land area, is also one of the fastest growing communities in the State. North Ports population today is just over 34,000.
Port Charlotte has more than 165 miles of waterways providing access to Charlotte Harbor and the Gulf of Mexico and many more miles of natural shoreline bordering Charlotte Harbor and the Peace and Myakka Rivers.
